A Storied Sea is an audio-literary composition that splices together environmental sounds, a duet for two trombones, and the recorded stories of David Fraser, whose family squatted on the Vancouver waterfront and established its first boathouse in the 1920s. This work was part of Intersections, a new music series organized by Vancouver’s Western Front, in which compositions were delivered in a guerilla street performance, concert and online forum.
